Dan Mendelson is the Chief Executive Officer of Morgan Health, a business unit within JPMorgan Chase & Co. dedicated to transforming employer-sponsored healthcare. In this role, he leads initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality, equity, and affordability of healthcare for the firm’s employees and, by extension, the broader U.S. workforce.
Before his tenure at Morgan Health, Dan founded Avalere Health, a Washington, D.C.–based healthcare advisory company, where he served as CEO. He also held the position of Operating Partner at Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, a private equity firm specializing in healthcare investments. Earlier in his career, Dan served as Associate Director for Health at the Office of Management and Budget during the Clinton administration, overseeing health-related budget and policy matters.
Dan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Oberlin College and a Master of Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School.
