Axel E. Lapica is CEO at The Smilist Management, a dental organization based in Great Neck, New York, specializing in dental care with over 45 offices in the New York Metro area.

Prior to his association with The Smilist, Lapica served as Senior Vice President at DaVita Kidney Care, where he oversaw dialysis operations across the Midwest, managing a portfolio exceeding $1 billion, which included over 400 clinics and 6,000 teammates. He also co-founded and served as CEO of Symbeo, a primary care practice focused on serving the working uninsured. Additionally, he gained consulting experience as an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company and held roles at Armstrong World Industries and Arthur Andersen.

Academically, Lapica holds an MBA in Strategy & Marketing from The Wharton School and dual degrees in Accounting from Florida International University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) in Florida and has completed Level 3 of the CFA program.
